About Me

Hello! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington. As a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) researcher, my graduate work has focused on AI-enabled accessibility technologies. For example, my dissertation aims to create a framework for supporting people who are Deaf, deaf, or hard of hearing to personalize their own sound recognition models. I am broadly interested in a variety of human-centered AI questions, including AI fairness for vulnerable populations; end-user agency and trust in automated systems; and data protection and privacy.

I am in my final year of study and am currently on the job market. I am primarily interested in industry research scientist roles, but I am also open to any position that will allow opportunities to engage with end-users and carry out user-centered interface design, prototyping, and testing. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota; I have also worked at Google Research and NASA Johnson Space Center.

Please refer to my Curriculum Vitae for a complete overview of my experience and history, or reach out if you’d like to learn more!
